From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — Several Hewitt-Trussville Middle School Women’s Choir and Honors Choir members participated in solo and ensemble performance assessment and earned superior ratings.
Eleven students sang in the ensemble and three students performed as soloists.
The soloists were Devon Amick, eighth grade, Kelsey Dudley, seventh grade, and Katie Harris, seventh grade.
All of the performers were given superior ratings for their tone quality, clarity, accuracy, discipline and blend. All other participating performers were high schools.
The choir is under the direction of Ben Cook, but the school system said most of the performers practiced and rehearsed on their own.
