From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — The owners of Trussville To Go, a meal delivery service, announced they will begin a recurring scholarship to local high school seniors.
In a letter to customers, Amanda and Ben Short thanked the community for the support of their business since they purchased the company in 2018.
When Amanda Starr Short & I purchased this company from Sunnie Leigh Graydon & Kasey Graydon in 2018 we had no idea what it would turn into or how Trussville would respond to a local restaurant delivery service. In 2018 Amanda left her job as a communications manager and we talked Brady Wells into joining the team as our Operations Coordinator. Amanda & Brady took their startup and developed Trussville To Go into a thriving delivery service by launching a new website and app which saw T2GO quickly grow into a staff of 18. As we move into 2020, the T2GO staff has grown to an amazing 43 employees serving 44 restaurants. T2GO delivered 5,515 orders in 2018, and as we move into 2020 we will cross over 34,183 orders.
We are truly grateful to our customers and the #Trussville restaurants for choosing us as your restaurant delivery service and giving us the opportunity to grow. None of our achievements would have been possible without you and your unwavering support.
Thinking about resolutions for the new year, we resolve to serve you better and support the communities who have supported us by giving back. With that said, T2GO is establishing a reoccurring $2,500 scholarship program to benefit a high school senior within the T2GO delivery area. If you are a senior at Trussville, Clay, Pinson, Huffman, or a homeschool program, you are encouraged to visit www.t2goscholarships.com for more information.
Thank you for being part of our journey and for believing in us,
Ben Short
