HELENA — According to Helena Police Chief Pete Folmar, a 32-year-old man was killed in a crash on Monday.
“On December 30 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Helena Police responded to a traffic accident on Alabama 261 between County 105 and Starkey Street,” Folmar said. “Upon arrival they found the driver of one vehicle deceased and the other badly injured. The scene was turned over to the Shelby County Traffic Homicide Task Force for investigation.”
The driver killed in the crash was identified as Brian S. Boots, 32, of Vestavia Hills.
The other driver was transported to UAB for treatment. At this time he is still under medical care. There is no further information available at this time.
