HANCEVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville Middle School cheer team took to Wallace State Community College on Dec. 14 for the AHSAA State Cheerleading Championship and finished in second place in the Large Junior High division.
The squad placed just behind Athens Middle, which finished with an overall score of 84.50. The Huskies finished with a score of 81.65.
This follows a first-place finish at the 2019 UCA Southern Cheerleading Championship in Birmingham in November along with a first-place finish in the North Super Regional.
HTMS cheer worked so hard and we placed second in the AHSAA state cheer competition. Way to go girls! We are super proud of you!
