JEFFERSON COUNTY — The Jefferson County Coroner confirmed the identity of two people killed at Tammera Place Apartments on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019.
Coroner Bill Yates said Jacoby Keland Johnson, 21, of east Birmingham, and Tyler Darcell Robinson, 20, of east Birmingham, were found dead inside a car at the apartment complex on Chalkville School Road. They had been shot to death.
Johnson was pronounced dead on the scene at 7:13 p.m. and Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:22 p.m. Investigators said they found drugs and guns inside the vehicle.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the homicides that they believe are connected to another shooting at Chalkville Landing Apartments on Trafalgar Square, off Old Springville Road.
Another person was shot at Chalkville Landing and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
