OAK MOUNTAIN — The Hewitt-Trussville boys and girls’ bowling teams had a productive outing on Wednesday as the Huskies joined 30 other teams at Oak Mountain Lanes for the Warrior Classic.
The boys’ bowling team, which entered the event seeded No. 4 out of 13 teams finished the event in third place.
Through four matches this season, the boys are 3-1 with victories over Shades Valley (1213-1023), Pelham (507-350) and Spain Park (610-566). The Huskies were knocked out of the Warrior Classic by host Thompson (513-594).
The girls’ bowling team, which entered the contest seeded No. 7 out of 10 teams, was knocked out in the second round.
Through three matches this season, the girls are 2-1 with victories over Shades Valley (1037-813) and Ramsay (361-301). The girls saw their night end at the Warrior Classic at the hands of Thompson (390-570).
Overall, Vestivia Hills took home the crown in the boys’ division.
