ASHVILLE — The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is asking citizens to sign up for news alerts by text or email.
The sheriff’s office implemented the alert system in March 2019, as a way to keep people in the county aware of happenings across the county. Sheriff Bill Murray said that it’s important for residents to stay updated.
“It’s a vital and important way for us to keep citizens informed,” said Murray. “It’s a good way to stay in touch and to get timely information on significant events.”
You can sign up for alerts by text, email or both on the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office’s website. You can choose what type of alerts you want. Those categories include general updates, a daily inmate roster, most wanted, messages from the sheriff, press releases and special alerts, such as traffic or weather emergencies.
