Pinson Valley relied on another dominant defensive performance and rode the arm of Barry White to claim its 11th straight playoff victory after a 42-7 win over visiting Homewood on Friday in the opening round of the Class 6A state playoffs.
In the game, Keyonteze Johnson was a commanding force. The senior wide receiver caught 10 passes for 172 yards for two touchdowns. His touchdowns went for 32 and 54 yards.
