TRUSSVILLE — The city of Trussville is now home to a coffee subscription company. Coosa Coffee Company offers roasted-to-order single-blended and premium blended coffee.
Customers can choose from a regular schedule subscription or order as needed. Owner Ty Shumate said every order provides superior quality from some of the best coffee beans in the world.
“Coosa Coffee Company is more than a coffee subscription company,” said Shumate. “We are committed to giving back to something important to us … America’s beautiful waterways.”
A portion of each order is donated to lake and river cleanup crews across America, according to Shumate. Coosa Coffee Company is named after the Coosa River because the Shumate family has had homes on two lakes on the Coosa River. That’s where their appreciation of waterways all started.“The Cahaba River is one of those important places to support,” said Shumate. “A lake and river cleanup crew is the volunteers who pick up debris and trash each year and help keep the waterways we all enjoy a little cleaner. Most lakes and rivers have one or two planned clean up days. We will partner with these groups to help publicize the event and provide financial support where needed.”
