BIRMINGHAM — Multiple shootings occurred in Jefferson County on Sunday afternoon that sent three people to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The separate shootings wounded three people. These incidents followed two reported shootings in Brighton on Sunday morning.
According to media reports, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department responded to a shooting around 4 p.m. in the 1200 block of Magnolia Place in Center Point. Once there, deputies discovered that a 17-year-old male had been shot in the leg and had been taken to the hospital. Allegedly, a vehicle drove up to the home and fired multiple rounds.
Several hours later, around 7 p.m, deputies were then dispatched to Fairfield where they happened upon two individuals who had been shot. One person was wounded in the leg and a 28-year-old woman was shot in the chest. That incident is believed to have been started by an argument between families.
