BIRMINGHAM — A 2-year-old boy is in the hospital after he accidentally shot himself on Saturday afternoon in Birmingham.
According to Birmingham police, the toddler managed to get a hold of his parent’s gun and accidentally shot himself at around 2:30 p.m. at a home on Arthur Shores Drive.
The toddler sustained non-life threatening injuries. He was taken to Children’s of Alabama.
The scene is under investigation.
