CENTER POINT — The son of a firefighter with the Center Point Fire District graduated from the Alabama Fire College on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019.
Jonathan Haywood gained his certification, in Tuscaloosa, after completing courses and training. Haywood has served the Center Point Fire District as an explorer. Fire Chief Gene Coleman was on hand for the ceremony.
Haywood’s father, Richard Haywood, has been a firefighter/paramedic with the Center Point Fire District for 24 years. Richard Haywood pinned his son for his graduation.
Haywood will be working with the Cahaba Valley Fire District.
