From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Daybreak Rotary Club continued a tradition of decorating the city for Veterans Day.
Trussville Fire and Rescue assisted the Rotary in hanging red, white and blue ribbons. The idea came from Linda Burns, whose son is in the U.S. Army.
The Rotary Club has several veterans who are members, so observing Veterans Day is especially important. Some of those veteran members will speak at the club’s next meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 13. The meeting will begin at 7 a.m. at First Baptist Church Trussville.
The tradition of the Rotary Club decorating City Hall for Veterans Day started in 2005.
