TRUSSVILLE — Trussville Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Al Tinney recently joined the ranks of highly qualified firefighters across the nation.
Tinney completed the National Fire Academy’s four-year Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program. The program offers a broad perspective on various facets of fire and emergency medical services for senior fire officers. Tinney completed course work and research focused on leadership when dealing with difficult or unique problems within communities.
In a Facebook post, Trussville Fire and Rescue congratulated Tinney on his accomplishments.
“We are very proud of all the hard work and dedication you have put into the completion of the program,” the post stated.
Chief Tim Shotts, Battalion Chief Nate Hopper, Battalion Chief Chris Schmohl, and Fire Marshal Jeff Fore along with Battalion Chief Al Tinney have all completed the EFO program.
Tinney also serves as a Battalion Chief with the Center Point Fire District.
