TRUSSVILLE – Following the Hewitt-Trussville eighth grade football team’s 14-12 victory over Thompson that clinched the metro championship, the Huskies continued to garner more accolades as multiple middle school players were bestowed with All-Metro team honors this past week.
In addition, head coach Scott Bromley was named 2019 Metro South Coach of the Year.
The eighth grade Huskies concluded the regular season undefeated at 8-0.
