Stella Cannon, 88, of Birmingham, passed away Nov. 1, 2019.
She was a member of McElwain Baptist, The Church at Grants Mill and the card ministry at Irondale Baptist Church. Stella was in the Volunteer Association at Montclair Hospital, employed at St Martin’s, Parisian boys department and Kmart as a security guard.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Cannon, daughter, Angie Cannon Harris, parents, Marcus Otis and Myrtice McDowell Sprayberry, sisters, Thelma Ruth Ledbetter, and Ola Inez Hughes. She is survived by her daughters, Carla Cannon, Lori Bennington Swindall and Patricia Cannon, grandchildren, Chris Harris, Sarah Harris Cope, Brandon Madison and Larry Swindall.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Thursday at McElwain Baptist Church with services following.
