MOBILE, Ala. — A judge has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for a slaying that happened last year on the Alabama coast.
News outlets report 50-year-old Michael Robert Burns of Gulf Shores was sentenced Monday after being convicted in August in the death of Raymond Dudley.
Burns and Dudley had worked together, and Dudley’s body was found on a trail along Wolf Bay in Baldwin County. He died from a gunshot wound.
Court records show Burns is asking for a new trial. He will be eligible for parole.
