TRUSSVILLE — The Hewitt-Trussville trio of Logan Self, Eric Taylor and Malachi Moore received their 2019 Alabama vs. Mississippi All-Star Classic jerseys on Monday.
“Congratulations to these 3 Huskies on representing Alabama in the upcoming Alabama/Mississippi All-Star Game!” Hewitt-Trussville football posted on its Twitter page. “Great honor to represent our state!”
The Huskies recently concluded the 2019 regular season on Oct. 25, 2019, with a victory over then-No. 1 Thompson. In that game, Moore, an Alabama commit, snagged the game-sealing interception and hauled in the onside kick recovery to finish the upset. For the season, Moore recorded 83 total tackles with four interceptions and eight passes defended.
Self, a senior offensive lineman who is committed to Troy, was the leader of an offensive line that helped the Huskies record nearly 459 yards per game this season.
Taylor, a senior defensive lineman committed to LSU, wrapped this season with 30 total tackles, six quarterback hurries with one forced fumble. The Huskies defense only allowed 24 points per game this season.
