SPRINGVILLE — The city of Springville is asking for input from citizens, in the form of an online survey.
Mayor Williams Isley said the purpose of the survey is to update the city’s strategic plan for the city. An advisory committee is analyzing the needs and wants of residents.
“The team is working on a three to five-year plan that will help shape our exciting future,” said Isley.
Isley said the current plan is outdated. He said when it was developed, there were only around 2,000 residents. Since then, the city population has grown between 4 and 5 thousand.
“The committee is made up of very vibrant leaders serving as the chairperson for each group,” said Isley. “We are hoping to address the overall needs of the citizens.”
Isley is asking anyone who wants to submit ideas to visit www.SpringvilleAlabama.org to select from the following categories:
- Education
- Growth and Development
- Traffic and Transportation
- Public Safety
- Intergovernal Relations
- Utilities and Technology
- Family and Community
