BIRMINGHAM — A homicide investigation has been launched by the Birmingham Police Department following the death of a man on Sunday, Oct. 27.
Officers responded to a call at the 100 block of Shawnee Lane around 7:15 p.m. and discovered two individuals within a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. Multiple gunshots were fired at the vehicle.
Both victims were taken to UAB Hospital where the male, Gjamal Antonio Rodriqcus, 27, was pronounced dead at 8:56 p.m.
