WALKER COUNTY — The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is investigating two fatal crashes that happened in Walker County on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019.
A Hoover woman was killed 12 miles south of Eldridge, in a two-vehicle crash that happened around 3:15 p.m. Claire E. Largin, 20, was driving a Toyota Rav 4, when it collided with a Dodge F-350, on AL-13. Largin was pronounced dead a the scene.
At 7:30 p.m., a Cordova man was killed in a crash nine miles east of Jasper. Jacob A. Plunkett, 31, was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Avalance on River Road. The truck left the roadway and struck a tree, according to investigators. Plunkett was pronounced dead at the scene.
