Newell Davis, 76, of Trussville, Alabama, passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019.
Newell is survived by his wife, Wilma, of 56 years; daughters, Sherry (Chris) Sale, Teresa Mitchell; grandchildren, Tiffany (David) Kopchak, Bethany (Matthew) Maynard, Jessica Mitchell, Clayton Sale, Lauren Mitchell, and Meredith Mitchell; great grandchildren, Emery, Nolan, and Brayden Kopchak; aunt, Nelly (Harland) Cochran; nephew, Dewayne (Lynette) Davis; and many other extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, I.N. And Mabel Davis, his brother, Wayne Davis, and granddaughter, Andrea Sale.
Newell worked at Merrill Lynch for almost 40 years and retired in 2002. He was a deacon at Trussville Southside Baptist Church and faithfully served his church for 25 years. His passions in life included God, his family, fishing and Alabama football.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. at Trussville Southside Baptist Church and service will immediately follow.
