Springville volleyball books ticket into Super Regionals

SPRINGVILLE — The Springville volleyball team booked its ticked into the Super Regionals on Monday after defeating Center Point and St. Clair County (25-15, 25-11, 25-13) in the Class 5A, Area 10 tournament that was hosted by the Tigers.

The Tigers now will now travel to Hunstville’s Von Braun Center for the North Super Regional on Thursday. Teams that fall within Class 6A-1A Area 9-16 and Class 7A Area 5-8 play will play in Huntsville.

Class 6A-1A Area 1-8 teams and Class 7A Area 1-4 teams will play in Montgomery’s Cramton Bowl Multi-Plex for the South Super Regional.

Out of those seven classes, four teams at both locations will advance to the Elite Eight tournament set to begin on Oct. 30 at the Birmingham Crossplex.

The state championships will be located at the Bill Harris Arena on Oct. 31.

Class 7A, 6A and 2A Area tournament play begins Tuesday.
