BIRMINGHAM – A Ramsay High school student was found dead inside a vehicle within a Sonesta Extended Stay Suites parking lot in northern Shelby County on Sunday morning.
News reports indicate that 17-year-old Stanley M. Turner II, from Birmingham, was shot to death. Authorities said that he was discovered around 1:46 a.m. following a noise complaint. Turner was the grandson of former state Rep. George Perdue.
No additional information has been released. Turner’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
