TRUSSVILLE — Hewitt-Trussville overcame a furious second-half rally by Tuscaloosa County behind the timely interception of Malachi Moore and the arm of junior quarterback Jackson Holland to snap a two-game skid and move to 5-4 on the season.
Holland completed 14 consecutive passes throughout the first three quarters. He finished the night 19-of-21 for 266 yards with one touchdown. Holland’s favorite target of the night, Omari Kelly, caught five receptions for 153 yards.
As such, Holland has been named the OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports player of the week for his performance.
