Mickie Lynn Wiggins, 63, passed away Oct. 15, 2019.
Wiggins graduated from Ensley High School and majored in English and Creative Writing at Jefferson State. She was a published author who enjoyed writing poetry and bird watching.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold C. Wiggins, Sr., mother, Lillian H. Ballew Elrod Wiggins, and sister, Diana C. Elrod Higgins (James). She is survived by her sisters, Jackie C. Elrod Sutton (Loyd), Shelia F. Wiggins Smith Mau (Joseph Mau), Tina S. Wiggins Lavies (David), brother, Harold C. Wiggins Jr., 7 nephews and 2 nieces.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 10 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Presbyterian Church 9392 Cedar Mountain Road Pinson, Alabama, with Pastor Phil Rich officiating.
In lieu of flowers make donations to National Arbor Foundation.
