CLAY — Parents became understandably concerned when they heard the Center Point Fire Department summoned to Clay-Chalkville High School on Friday morning and spotted the trucks at the building. But Principal Michael Lee said situation was under control and posed no threat to students.
“We had an electrical issue with an oven in the lunchroom, but no fire,” Lee said. “Center Point Fire took care of it. The students were in no danger at any time and there was no evacuation required.”
Lee complimented the first responders and said the school day would continue as normal.
