The 2019 high school volleyball postseason is nigh upon us with area brackets being submitted as the regular season draws to a close this week.
The area tournaments begins on Oct. 21 with the Class 5A Area 10 tournament hosted by Springville.
Class 5A Area 10 at Springville
Monday, Oct. 21 — Springville vs. Center Point (4 p.m.)
Monday, Oct. 21 — St. Clair County vs. Moody (5:15 p.m.)
Springville faced Center Point on Sept. 17 and won in straight sets (3-0). The Tigers also defeated St. Clair County and Moody this season in straight sets.
Class 6A Area 12 at Clay-Chalkville
Semifinal Matchup
Tuesday, Oct. 22 — Pinson Valley vs. Pell City (4 p.m.)
Finals
Tuesday, Oct. 22 — Clay-Chalkville vs. Semifinal Winner (5:30 p.m.)
Clay-Chalkville defeated both Pinson Valley and Pell City this season.
Class 7A Area 6 at Mountain Brook
First Round Matchup
Tuesday, Oct. 22 – Hewitt-Trussville vs. John Carroll (2:30 p.m.)
Semifinal Matchup
Tuesday, Oct. 22 – Mountain Brook vs. First Round Winner (4:00 p.m.)
Tuesday, Oct. 22 – Vestavia Hills vs. Spain Park (5:30 p.m.)
Hewitt-Trussville has not defeated any team within the bracket this season.
