BIRMINGHAM – The man held in connection to the kidnapping of Kamille McKinney was released from the Jefferson County Jail early Thursday morning after posting bail on unrelated charges, Carol Robinson of AL.com reported.
Patrick Devone Stallworth’s bond was set at $500,000 on seven unrelated child pornography charges.
Stallworth was charged with four counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of possession of child pornography with intent to distribute after police said they found obscene information on his phone. None of the photos were of McKinney.
He was taken into custody along with his girlfriend, Derick Irisha Brown, who remains held after officials filed a motion to revoke her bond in a 2018 case where Brown was accused of abducting her three children.
McKinney was attending a birthday party and was last seen Saturday night around 8:30 p.m. She was wearing a pink T-shirt with a leopard-print design and leopard-print shorts.
According to police, a man snatched McKinney and placed her in a Toyota SUV and drove off. Residents at Woodside Condominiums in Center Point noticed the SUV and tipped off police. Officers swarmed the complex, arresting Stallworth and Brown.
The reward for any information regarding the whereabouts of McKinney has increased to $25,000 after Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama added $20,000 on top on the $5,000 announced by Gov. Kay Ivey earlier this week.
The $20,000 is comprised mostly of donations from private citizens and businesses.
