BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating the death of a man who was involved in an altercation at the Burger King located at Third Avenue West and Princeton Parkway.
Charles L. Brown, 44, of Birmingham, was identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office as the man killed. The incident happened on Monday, Oct. 14, 2019.
Police said Brown tried to drive away after the altercation but wrecked his vehicle at Second Avenue West and 12th Street West. He was found dead inside the vehicle at 8:40 p.m.
The Coroner’s Office was scheduled to begin an exam on Brown on Tuesday to determine the cause of death.
