BIRMINGHAM — Jefferson County is joining forces with the American Red Cross this Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, to celebrate Alabama’s bicentennial with a “200 for 200 Blood Drive.”
The event begins at 9:30 a.m. and runs until 3:30 p.m. on the ninth floor of the Jefferson County Courthouse on 716 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd N.
A mobile blood donation unit will be at the Bessemer Courthouse at 1801 Third Ave. N., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 18.
Donors will gets snacks and a special bicentennial T-shirt.
Those interested can sign up at either the Jefferson County Courthouse or the Bessemer Courthouse.
