From The Trussville Tribune staff reports
TRUSSVILLE — A construction company working on the Quad I development in downtown Trussville reported several items stolen from their site near Ferus Artisan Ales Brewery.
A 25-foot long gooseneck trailer, belonging to JR Construction, was taken, along with equipment that was on it. The trailer was a black, dual-axle Hank trailer. A Bobcat auger and a Bushwacker, that were stored on the trailer, were also stolen.
JR Construction had been working in Quad I and on Ferus Artisan Ales Brewery. Workers noticed the equipment was gone when they returned for work on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
According to a police report, the trailer had been sitting near 109 South Chalkville Road for nearly a month. It was locked in place with a cable, but the cable was cut by the thief. Police said tire marks from the trailer could be seen in the area.
The estimated value of the equipment is $12,300.
If you have information about the theft, you are asked to call the Trussville Police Department.
