TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Police Department is investigating after a new vehicle was reported stolen from the lot of Serra Kia off Highway 11.
The compliance manager for Serra told investigators the silver 2019 Kia Sorento was stolen between Aug. 5 and Oct. 8. Dealership management was notified of the missing car after an inventory check. Management believes someone removed the keys from a storage board and drove off with the vehicle.
The value of the vehicle is listed in a police report as $26,480. The person responsible for the theft could face a charge of first-degree theft of property.
