BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery and shooting that happened on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at a beauty supply store.
Detectives said two people wearing masks approached the store clerk of C&C Beauty Supply at 136 Sixth Ave. SW and demanded money. The two people had handguns but the store owner also had a gun. As the owner began to fire shots, the would-be robbers returned fire.
No one was hurt, including a customer who was checking out at the time of the shooting.
The Birmingham Police Department is asking for the public’s help identifying the two people seen in surveillance video. If you have information, you are asked to call (205) 254-1753.
