CENTER POINT — The Center Point Fire District joined in on the 38th annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend by using red lights on all four of its stations.
The purpose of the memorial weekend is to honor and remember America’s fallen fire heroes and to provide resources to their families. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation also works year-round to prevent firefighter deaths and reduce injuries by working with fire service communities.
The Center Point Fire District is also sharing information on its Facebook page about the importance of fire safety during Fire Prevention Month. Fire Prevention Week is Oct. 6 – Oct. 12. The goal is to raise awareness and prevent fires.
