BIRMINGHAM — The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a shooting death in the city’s north precinct.
Officers received a call around 7:05 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, according to a press release. When they arrived on the scene at 1713 32nd Place North, they found a person in an apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue transported the victim to UAB Hospital where they later died. The victim has not been identified, pending notification of family.
Detectives have no identified a suspect or a motive in the shooting.
