PINSON — The Alabama Butterbean Festival will be in Pinson on Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, in downtown Pinson.
Over 100 vendors are expected to have exhibits along Main Street from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The festival will be full of entertainment, food, arts and crafts and a carnival. Bucky Butterbean will also be on hand for photos and meet and greets. Butterbean Festival shirts will be available at the Clay-Pinson Chamber of Commerce tent for $10.
Beginning Thursday, Oct. 3, Main Street will be closed from Pinson Boulevard to Glen Brook Road to allow vendors to set up. This section will also be closed from 6 p.m. Friday until 6 p.m. Saturday for the festival.
Parking will be at Bicentennial Park and a golf cart shuttle will be provided. On Saturday, drivers may also park on the field behind the Rock School.
There will be a pet parade on Saturday, presented by Sanitary Rug Cleaners, Inc. Parade registration will be at the pavilion next to the pony rides from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Registration is $5, cash only. There will be prizes for several categories.
