HUEYTOWN — A Hueytown toddler died on Tuesday after being found unresponsive in a neighbor’s pool on Sunday.
According to news reports, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the boy as Fred Walker Humphryes. He was 2 years old and lived in Hueytown. Humphreys was taken to UAB Medical West and then airlifted to Children’s Hospital Sunday after the incident.
In reporting from AL.com., the toddler and his older brother are believed to have gotten out of the house Sunday morning in the 3200 block of Larabee Lane. The older boy was found in a neighbor’s yard and informed the parent that his brother was in the pool.
He was pronounced dead on Tuesday at 2:31 a.m.
