JEFFERSON COUNTY — An early morning homicide on Saturday in east Jefferson County is being investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, according to Capt. David Agee.
“On Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at 2:49 a.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to investigate suspicious circumstances at a home in the 500 block of Fourth Street in the Robinwood community,” Agee said. “Deputies checked the area and found a man deceased in a wooded area near the home. Evidence on the scene showed that the man had been killed.”
Agee said evidence technicians were processing the scene and detectives are interviewing possible witnesses.
“This death is being investigated as a homicide,” Agee said.
