BIRMINGHAM —Detectives with the Birmingham Police Department have reclassified a homicide investigation to reflect the cause of death of the victim was natural causes.
Dorise Henderson, 40, of Birmingham, was found dead on May 30, 2019, to a home on Fourth Avenue West. At that time, investigators listed the death as “unclassified.” Upon further investigation, the death classification was changed to a homicide investigation. After the completion of the Jefferson County Coroner’s report, the death of Henderson was changed from a homicide investigation and ruled as a natural death.
No charges will be pursued.
