Robert Kenneth Borland, 75, of Birmingham passed away on Sept. 13, 2019.
He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He served in the Navy and then worked for the Army National Guard for 40 years. He enjoyed sports cars and was a member of the Birmingham Corvette Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph D. Borland and Mattie Lee Borland. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Harris Borland; his daughter, Cindy Borland; his son, Robert Jeffrey Borland; his sister, Martha Jo Sizemore; and his grandchildren, Justin Allen and Luke Allen.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, Sept. 16, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville, with Rev. Rick Camp officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
