SYLVAN SPRINGS — The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said a medical condition could have led to a crash on Birmingham Road.
The vehicle was discovered around 5:57 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, on Birmingham Road. Deputies found the 72-year-old woman deceased behind the wheel and her foot was still on the accelerator.
The traffic fatality is under investigation, but deputies believe the woman suffered a medical incident before the wreck.
