SHELBY COUNTY — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office identified a man they said died in an incident related to domestic violence.
Johnny Lee Payne, 45, of Shelby County, was found dead by deputies responding to a domestic-related incident. It happened on Gibson Road on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, around 11 a.m.
Investigators did not reveal how Payne died. One person was taken into custody for questioning.
The investigation was ongoing and no charges had been filed at the time this article was published.
