James V. Brown, 97, of Odenville, Alabama, passed away at his home on Aug. 31, 2019.
James was a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Sarah Brown; his daughter, Reba Ann Sexton, his son, Randy Brown; sister, Willie Mae White; brother, William Herman Brown. He is survived by his wife, Mary Brown; sons, Kenny Brown and Tyree Brown (Barbara); grandchildren, Michael Brown (Patty), Sherry Moore (Byron) and Angela Whitson (Chris); four great grandchildren, Taylor, Corey, Jacob and Hope; he also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews and a host of extended family.
The funeral for James will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville on Tuesday, Sept. 3 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior. Brother Nicholas Gandy and Brother Roger White are both presiding over the service.
