MARION COUNTY — A Winfield woman was killed in a crash in Marion County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Betty Jean Walker Soucy, 70, was the only person in the car. The ALEA said Soucy was driving a 2001 For Taurus on Alabama 233, about three miles east of Brilliant. The vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.
Soucy was taken to UAB Hospital, where she later died.
The crash happened on Saturday, Aug. 31, at 6:50 a.m. ALEA Troopers are investigating.
