Leo Blankenship passed away at his home in Morris, Alabama, on Aug. 27, 2019, at the age of 70.
Leo was employed by Nationwide Insurance as an insurance agent for over 36 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was a long-time member of Center Crest Baptist Church. Leo was a loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Blankenship; his children, Daryl Blankenship and Dana Blankenship Tidwell; his step-son, Brett Amerson; eleven grandchildren, Brittney, Logan, Colton, Kyle, Allyson, Jaxson, Taylor, Paige, Kara, Brodie and Garrett; three great granddaughters, Lauren, Abagail and Emmalee; his sisters and brothers.
Leo’s funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Aug. 31, with visitation held one hour prior. Pastor Bob Curly will be officiating.
