COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said the suspect in a triple shooting was captured on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019.
James Mauldin was taken into custody in Coweta County, Georgia. He is facing murder and car theft charges.
Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader told local news outlets that 35-year-old Joe Edward Brown and his mother, 61-year-old Linda Mae Everett, were killed inside a home in the Holland community. Schrader said 46-year-old Daryl Lee Marsh was shot and injured.
Schrader hasn’t said what may have sparked the shooting.
The deaths sparked a manhunt and precautions at schools in Chattooga County.
