BIRMINGHAM — The National Weather Service in Birmingham received several reports of flooding in Jefferson and Shelby Counties Friday.
Some areas impacted include Hoover Veterans Park, The Summit, Rocky Ridge Elementary School, and the area between the Pelham Walmart and Edgar’s Bakery, off Highway 119. There is also reports that parts of Rocky Ridge Road were covered in water after flash flooding.
A Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 6:15 p.m. for Jefferson and Shelby Counties.
In east Alabama, downed trees damaged a house and a pool in Ashland.
