LEEDS — The Leeds Police Department warned residents about possible unauthorized sales calls.
The department posted on Facebook that Leeds City Schools notified investigators about callers claiming to be with Concepts, Inc. The caller asked businesses to purchase spirit items for Leeds High School cheerleaders.
The police department said Concepts, Inc. is not authorized to engage in phone solicitation on behalf of LHS. There is no allegation that anyone with Concepts, Inc. is making the phone calls.
Anyone receiving a call from any entity seeking to collect money or sell items for the school is encouraged to hang up immediately.
If you are interested in supporting LHS, you may contact the school directly.
