CLAY — U.S. Congressman Gary Palmer spoke at the American Legion SSG Michael W. Hosey special meeting on Monday, Aug. 12, 2019.
Palmer spoke to the crowd in lieu of the post’s regular, monthly meeting. Dinner was served and donations were collected.
U.S. Representative Palmer, of Alabama’s 6th Congressional District, came to speak about issues important to the legion, their family members and other local veterans, such as VA healthcare and veteran care. The event was held at the Clay Community Center. The post adorned the building with American flags to welcome the congressman.
